Please join us in honoring the State Board of Education's Casandra Ulbrich and Kelly O'Brien, State Farm of Michigan's Vice President of Agency as we celebrate the work of Communities in Schools of Michigan at this year's Leadership in Education dinner on June 8th, 2020 at Eagle Eye Golf Course in East Lansing, MI.

Both Casandra and Kelly understand the importance of fighting for the youth in our community. Their work directly strengthens Communities in Schools mission – to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Celebrate the work we have done together to better equip student in Michigan with new skills and a vision for lifelong learning.

“The goal of CIS Michigan is to continue to support Integrated Student Support Services for as many students as possible around the State of Michigan to shrink the drop-out rate and keep students in schools,” said Mallory DePrekel, State Director of Communities In Schools of Michigan. “Generous donations like these will allow us to help more students stay in school and achieve in life.” 

Each year Leadership in Education honorees are chosen for the annual dinner based on the impact they’ve had through their educational work in the State. Previous honorees include, Suzy Merchant, Nancy Moody, Ron Bieber, Tom Izzo and Kellie Dean.
